Praise be to the gods of Ebay for sending me my new ACNE boots. Beautiful, comfortable, ethical (ACNE is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation) and - when bought second hand - just about affordable. That said, if I had 400 quid lying around, I'd happily buy a pair new. I hope I'll still be wearing these in my eighties, and that would be a pretty good pay per wear ratio...
