A Spring Drawing Workshop at Cambridge University on 8 May from 10am-1pm

To celebrate Relative Ties, a fascinating new exhibition at the Women’s Art Collection within Murray Edward's College, University of Cambridge, I've been invited by curator and Director Harriet Loffler, to host an intimate drawing workshop on Friday 8 May from 10am to 1pm.

We'll enjoy coffee and cake, and an inspiring guided tour of the exhibition with Harriet, before sitting down to learn the art of drawing with a dip pen and ink to create your own unique set of illustrated stationery - book your place here.

Relative Ties celebrates over a century of artistic innovation and inheritance, tracing the work of four women in the celebrated Nicholson family - Mabel Nicholson, Nancy Nicholson, EQ Nicholson and Louisa Creed across painting, textiles, works on paper, and sculpture.

Be inspired by the stationery and paper ephemera of Nancy Nicholson’s Poulk Press, displayed within the exhibition, to create your own simple hand-drawn designs and motifs. Guests will leave with a personalised box containing a hand-marbled dip pen, black drawing ink, paintbrush, and a set of illustrated notecards & envelopes.

The workshop will be relaxed, fun and friendly, and suitable for anyone from complete beginners to confident creatives. Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
