These wonderfully witty Carrot dinner candles will top off your Easter scene perfectly with their humble, earthy charm.

A clever take on the rituals of laying the table, these playful yet elegant objects reimagine something familiar in another everyday but quite unexpected way.

Hand-poured in East Sussex from unscented natural wax, the candles sit beautifully alongside food and flowers, and offer approximately 1 hour of burn time, ideal for intimate gatherings, spring suppers, or as a thoughtful addition to an Easter display. A small sculpture for your table.

Carrots have long held a place in springtime celebration. At Easter or Ostara, they symbolise renewal and the return of life after winter. Traditionally associated with abundance and fertility, the carrot has appeared in folklore as a symbol of good fortune, protection, and prosperity. In medieval Europe, it was believed that wild carrots could ward off negative spirits, while in other tales they were linked to vitality and the promise of growth.

Each candle measures approximately  23 x 3 x 3 cm, and weights 129g.

Just like Scribble & Daub’s paper goods, these artisan candles are hand-crafted from natural olive wax, hand-poured with love and care in small batches in East Sussex, England. Made to the highest environmental standards using eco dyes and an organic cotton wick, all are Vegan friendly.

Candles are fragile by nature, and they will be packed and sent to you with the utmost attention. Please remember that natural wax is a soft and delicate material, so some imperfections may be present on the surface. Natural waxes will 'bloom', this is a normal reaction to the environment which means the candle may appear 'dusty'. This is very easy to remove with a warm hand or quick blast with a hairdryer.

Important notes on candle safety:

- NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
- Always put candles on a heat resistant surface
- Keep burning candles away from things that can catch fire (e.g. curtains, other fabrics, furniture, hair). Keep candles out of draughts. Do not put underneath shelves (there should be at least one meter between a candle and any surface above it).
- Candles should be kept out of reach of children and pets - consider where you place them in your home carefully.
- Make sure to leave at least 10cm between two burning candles - candles like to 'jump' between each other.
- Trim your wick when needed to maintain a height of 0.5cm.
- Keep the wax pool clear of matches and debris to prevent reignition.
- Extinguish candles before moving them. Make sure candles are completely extinguished.
- CANDLES ARE NOT FOOD, NOT TOYS AND SHOULD NEVER BE EATEN.
