Tiny, precious, and full of charm, these Quail’s Egg Cake Candles are life-sized miniature delights with speckled shells crafted to look almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Delicious and delicate quail's eggs are prized in kitchens worldwide for their beauty, and as with all eggs, are symbolic of fertility and renewal.

These little treasures are hand-poured from unscented natural wax. Each candle has a 20 minute melt time, making them an exceptional alternative to traditional birthday candles, atop Easter cakes, or to dramatise any dessert.

They are sold as a set of 5, and each weighs 14g.

I wanted to ask for a pair of quail as a wedding present, but was eventually dissuaded from the idea when told they can be cannibalistic! It hasn't dimmed my love for their eggs though, and I can't wait to decorate a Simnel cake with these this year...

Just like Scribble & Daub’s paper goods, these artisan candles are hand-crafted from natural olive wax, hand-poured with love and care in small batches in East Sussex, England. Made to the highest environmental standards using eco dyes and an organic cotton wick, all are Vegan friendly.

Candles are fragile by nature, and they will be packed and sent to you with the utmost attention. Please remember that natural wax is a soft and delicate material, so some imperfections may be present on the surface. Natural waxes will 'bloom', this is a normal reaction to the environment which means the candle may appear 'dusty'. This is very easy to remove with a warm hand or quick blast with a hairdryer.

Important notes on candle safety:

- NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
- Always put candles on a heat resistant surface
- Keep burning candles away from things that can catch fire (e.g. curtains, other fabrics, furniture, hair). Keep candles out of draughts. Do not put underneath shelves (there should be at least one meter between a candle and any surface above it).
- Candles should be kept out of reach of children and pets - consider where you place them in your home carefully.
- Make sure to leave at least 10cm between two burning candles - candles like to 'jump' between each other.
- Trim your wick when needed to maintain a height of 0.5cm.
- Keep the wax pool clear of matches and debris to prevent reignition.
- Extinguish candles before moving them. Make sure candles are completely extinguished.
- CANDLES ARE NOT FOOD, NOT TOYS AND SHOULD NEVER BE EATEN.
