Let's Stick Together This Christmas!

Let's Stick Together This Christmas!
“Snowflakes, of course, are the
ultimate exercise in sheer creative glee”
Julia Cameron, The Artist's Way

Wilson ‘Snowflake' Bentley was the first person ever to photograph a snowflake in 1885. Over the next 47 winters of his life, he took 5,381 photos of snow crystals using the same camera and microscope given to him by his parents. These enchanting images are now in the collection of the Natural History Museum - gaze in wonder here
Snowflakes - like people - exist in endless variety, no two are ever alike; a joyful and inspiring symbol of the universe's endless creativity. The same can be said for Scribble & Daub's cards - every one is individually hand-painted, so each will always be slightly different from the next.

If I had to pick a favourite of this years' new designs, then these two ice cool characters might just be it, the perfect reminder to reach out and connect with friends and family at this time of year. Such is my fondness for them, they have been given a place in our decoration collection too.
Snow Business

The Inuit famously have fifty words for snow, and a love of the white stuff is known as chionophilia. I count myself in their number - giddy with excitement at the tiniest flurry, forever in hopes of waking to a white blanket of sparkle laid over my world. While we're on the subject, here are a few more cards fellow chionophiles might enjoy this season...

Snow Time to Lose

As we round the corner into December, we have to keep an eye on the finishing line. Please note last posting dates are as follows:

International - Midnight on 15th December
UK - Midnight on 18th December

The studio will close for Christmas on Friday 19th December 2025 and re-opens after a seasonal rest on 5th January 2026. All orders made over the festive period will be sent after this date.

We are fantastically busy in the studio, thank you so much for all your orders, do keep them coming. In light of this, we're currently working on a 3-4 day lead time rather than our usual one or two, so as always, please bear this in mind and let us know if anything is time critical.
