Since our first beginnings in 2012, Scribble & Daub has sought to be the most ethical and sustainable business that we can be. From the first line to the last stroke, every stage of our production is guided by human hands, and in an industry notorious for its throwaway nature, we design for keeps. We love to hear how our customers treasure and frame our cards, making them a part of their lives.
The paper for our cards & bespoke stationery is sourced from a 750 year old Italian paper mill, and our decorations use FSC certified stock from luxury British paper purveyors, GF Smith. Every Scribble & Daub piece is letterpress printed by hand on a vintage press at our third generation traditional local workshop in Rye, East Sussex.
"There aren’t many industries around that can aspire to becoming genuinely sustainable. The paper industry, however, is one of them; it is inherently sustainable."
Jonathan Porritt, Co-Founder, Forum for the Future
We use biodegradable, recyclable or recycled packaging, and try wherever possible to minimise waste.
We have supported numerous charities through the sale of our cards, including the Great Dixter Charitable Trust, Medical Aid for Palestine, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders and seek to foster kindness and connection in everything we do.
As a female-founded business, Scribble & Daub is proud to be a member of Buy Women Built and our predominantly female workforce enjoys flexible working and fair pay.
