Dr Bronner has been making soap for 150 years and their organic, fair trade products are possessed of some of my favourite packaging. Reading the Washington Post over bagels for breakfast last week on a trip to see in the in-laws in DC, I had an amusing reminder of their brilliance: a photo of the founders' grandson, and current CEO, locked in a cage in front of the White House protesting laws against hemp cultivation. Not your average soap, not your average company.
