Since the beginning, Scribble & Daub has sought to be the most ethical and sustainable business that we can be. From the first line to the last stroke, every stage of our production is guided by human hands.
Our cards & bespoke stationery is printed on paper handmade at one of Italy's oldest mills, and our decorations onto FSC certified stock from GF Smith which is bonded by hand to create their luxurious thickness. Each piece is letterpress printed at our traditional local workshop which has been in the same hands for generations.
Once printed, everything returns to our East Sussex studio to be individually hand-painted, one by one, by our skilled team of illustrators. Our garlands & streamers are created by an artisan in the South of England who hand-sews and pleats each one to a family 'recipe' passed down by her father.
We only use biodegradable and recyclable or recycled packaging and try wherever possible to minimise waste.
We support numerous charities through the sale of our cards, including the Great Dixter Charitable Trust, Medical Aid for Palestine, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders.
As a female-founded business, Scribble & Daub is proud to be a member of Buy Women Built and our predominantly female workforce enjoy flexible working and fair pay.
