Sending a card or gift, throwing a dinner or party, these are all hopeful acts of kindness, love, sharing and connection. Scribble & Daub exists to celebrate these human moments, and the beauty in every day life.

Currently in Gaza, everyday life of any kind is impossible; the civilian population is being forcibly starved by the Israeli government, and 80% of the country has been destroyed, with bombs continuing to rain down on the decimated population. Rather than sanction Israel for countless war crimes and end all sales of arms, two successive UK governments have chosen inaction, and to criminalise those who protest these atrocities. 

In the face of such horror and injustice, things can feel hopeless, yet even in the darkest moments, we can always choose the light. Here are a few ideas of things you can do to show support, solidarity and pressure for change - by no means an exhaustive list, suggestions welcome!

- Join & support the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign who tirelessly work for Palestinian freedom. Join their marches and other actions, shop from their website, donate to support their work. Bang an empty pot at 6pm every evening in protest at the forced famine of Gaza.

- Make your solidarity visible to others - wear a badge, put up a poster, add something to your social media profiles etc. 

- Follow Palestinians in Gaza such as Bisan Owda, who continue to report bravely and tirelessly despite the dangers to themselves. 

- Donate to charities on the ground such as The Sameer Project

- Move to the Isle of Eigg! This Scottish island is owned by the community of 120 people who have just voted to completely boycott Israel in protest at the genocide. Very tempted to move to this idyllic spot!
